Ingredients

  • 6 young, fresh garlic bulbs
  • 0.5 l dry sherry
  • 8 tbsp honey

Instructions

    Peel the outer skin of the garlic bulbs so that the cloves are clearly visible; place them in a suitable baking dish.

    Bring the sherry and honey to a boil, then pour over the garlic bulbs. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 30 minutes, turning occasionally and spooning the liquid over the garlic. Let the garlic cool in the liquid.

    Store the roasted garlic in an airtight jar in a cool place for 3-4 weeks.

    Serve with fresh white bread, mash into a vinaigrette, or use as a flavor enhancer for sauces, such as for light meats.
