Ingredients

  • 1 Ciabatta
  • 2 anchovy fillets
  • 1 tbsp capers
  • 150 g black olives (pitted)
  • 1 dried peperoncino
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1 tsp Honey
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • Lemon juice

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 220°C.

    Slice the ciabatta into about 1 cm thick slices and place on a baking rack. Bake in the oven for about 5 minutes until golden brown.

    Pat the anchovy fillets dry. In a blender combine them with capers, olives, peperoncino and peeled garlic clove. Add honey and blend to a fine paste, gradually adding olive oil until a spreadable cream forms. Season with salt, pepper and lemon juice.

    Remove the roasted bread from the oven and spread the paste on it.

    Serve the olive crostini hot and crispy while still warm.
