Ingredients

  • 4 large aromatic apples (e.g., Golden Delicious)
  • 200 g blackberries
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 20 ml port wine
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • 20 g butter

Instructions

    Wash the apples, pat dry, use a cutter to remove the core, cut each in half crosswise and scoop out some flesh with a spoon or Parisienne to create small bowls.

    Bring the port wine, honey, halved cinnamon sticks and lemon to a boil and reduce slightly; remove from heat and stir in the blackberries.

    Fill the apples (reserve the cinnamon sticks and 2 tbsp of blackberries for garnish), place them in a buttered, oven‑proof dish.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C with both fan and top heating for about 45 minutes. Plate on small dishes and serve garnished with the reserved cinnamon sticks and blackberries.
