Roast Beef

Ingredients

  • 1 kg roast beef (with rind)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 4 Garlic cloves
  • 1 sprig rosemary
  • 1 sprig thyme

Instructions

    Rinse the roast beef under cold water, pat dry, cut off the rind and chop it into small pieces. Rub the meat on all sides with salt and pepper.

    Render the rind in a roasting pan. Sear the meat in the pan for about 4 minutes over high heat on all sides.

  3. 3.

    Add garlic and herbs. Place the pan in the preheated oven and cook the roast beef at 180 °C (convection not recommended, gas: level 2–3) for about 1 hour. Then remove from the oven and slice into strips.
