  • 140 g corn (drained weight, can)
  • 50 g onions (1 onion)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 100 g cherry tomatoes (2 small tomatoes)
  • 1 tsp Olive oil
  • 20 g ketchup (1 tbsp)
  • 0.5 tsp Dried oregano
  • 30 g rice waffles (4 waffles)
  • 60 g grated Gouda cheese (30% fat in milk)
  • 2 sprigs Basil

Instructions

  1. 1.

Drain the tuna and corn in a sieve. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.

  2. 2.

Briefly blanch the tomatoes in boiling water, then remove, peel, quarter, cut off stem ends, seed and dice.

  3. 3.

Heat olive oil in a non‑stick pan. Sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.

  4. 4.

Add the tomatoes and simmer for about 10 minutes. Stir in ketchup and oregano, season with salt and pepper.

  5. 5.

Place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking tray, lay the rice waffles on it and spread the tomato sauce over each one.

  6. 6.

Distribute tuna and corn on top of the waffles, sprinkle with cheese and bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (fan‑fry 180 °C, gas: level 3) for 10–12 minutes. Wash and dry basil leaves, then garnish the snacks with them.
