Rice Pudding

Ingredients

  • 500 ml milk
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 40 g raw cane sugar
  • 125 g rice pudding grains
  • 2 Apples
  • Zinc-sugar mixture (for serving)

Instructions

    Bring milk with salt, butter, lemon zest, vanilla sugar and raw cane sugar to a boil in a pot while stirring occasionally. Add the rice pudding grains to the boiling milk and stir until it briefly boils again. Cover and let simmer on low heat for 40-45 minutes.

    Wash, dry, peel, quarter the apples, remove cores and finely grate them. Stir into the rice during the last ~5 minutes of cooking.

    Serve the rice pudding in bowls and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
