Ingredients
- 300 g onions
- 3 Garlic cloves
- 400 g Andouille sausage
- 400 g shrimp (prepped, peeled and deveined)
- 2 bell peppers (red and green)
- 200 g Long grain rice
- Salt
- 500 g tomatoes
- 200 g okra pods
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp hot paprika powder
- 5 crushed allspice berries
- 2 Bay leaves
- 600 ml beef broth
- Tabasco

Heat oil in a large pot and sauté onions with garlic until translucent. Add sausage, brown briefly, then add bell peppers, okra, spices and broth; bring to boil and simmer covered for about 12 minutes. Stir in rice, shrimp and tomatoes, and let cook for another 5 minutes. Season with salt and Tabasco and serve.
