Ingredients

  • 1 untreated orange
  • 1 apple
  • 350 ml elderberry juice
  • 500 ml dry red wine
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 cloves of allspice
  • 4 tsp honey
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar

Instructions

    Slice the orange into thin wedges and halve them.

    Peel the apple, remove the core, and cut it into rings.

    Slowly heat elderberry juice, red wine, and spices in a pot without boiling. Add honey, vanilla sugar, and fruit; let steep briefly. Serve hot over glasses.
