Red Wine Jelly

Ingredients

  • 1.2 l dry red wine
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 0.5 vanilla pod (pulp)
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 pressed cardamom pod
  • 500 g gelatin sugar (2:1)

Instructions

    Bring the red wine and spices to a boil in a pot and simmer for about 15 minutes over medium heat.

    Strain the wine into a new pot, mix with the sugar, and bring back to a boil. Let it bubble for about 4 minutes, then pour into prepared jars.

    Let the jars sit upside down for about 10 minutes, flip them upright, and allow to cool completely.
