Ingredients

  • 1 small red cabbage
  • 250 ml apple juice
  • Salt
  • sugar
  • Vinegar
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds (coarsely crushed)
  • 1 apple
  • red wine
  • oil

Instructions

    Cut the red cabbage into fine strips.

    Add apple juice with salt, sugar and mustard seeds to a pot and bring briefly to a boil.

  3. 3.

    Add the cabbage, boil once more briefly, then set aside.

  4. 4.

    Peel the apples and grate finely; mix with red wine and a little oil, add to the cabbage and let steep for at least 3 hours.

  5. 5.

    Season with vinegar and serve.
