Quince Jam

The quince jam from Spoonsparrow is easy to prepare and versatile for many uses!

Ingredients

  • 1 kg quines
  • 250 ml apple juice
  • 1 lemon (juice)
  • 100 g honey
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 star anise

Instructions

    Rub the quince with a cloth, quarter them and remove the core. Cut the quarters into pieces and place them in a pot.

    Add the apple juice, lemon juice, honey, cinnamon stick, and star anise, bring to a boil, then simmer covered for about 45 minutes until soft. Add a little water if needed and stir occasionally.

    Afterward strain out the spices and pass the mixture through a sieve or fine mesh. Fill prepared (sterile) jars, seal, and either cook further or consume fresh as desired.
