Quince Compote with Red Wine

Quick and easy to make at home, quince compote with red wine is refined by pecans and cinnamon for an even better flavor.
Ingredients
- 4 quines
- juice of 1 lemon
- 2 Vanilla Beans
- 150 g brown sugar
- 1 clove
- 250 ml Water
- 125 ml red wine
- pecan nuts

Peel, core, and cut the quines into wedges. Place in a bowl and drizzle with lemon juice. Split the vanilla beans lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Combine the vanilla, sugar, clove, water, and wine in a pot and bring to a boil.

Cook the quince wedges for about 5 minutes until just tender. Remove with a slotted spoon and reduce the liquid for 5 minutes before pouring it back over the quines. Serve warm with pecan nuts as dessert (or fill immediately into glasses with twist-off lids).
