Ingredients

  • soft butter (for the dish)
  • 1 large quince
  • 3 small pears
  • 0.5 untreated lemon
  • 500 ml apple juice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 Cloves
  • 2 tbsp pear liqueur
  • 60 g fine brown sugar
  • 100 g gooseberries
  • 0.5 Banana

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) with top and bottom heat. Butter a baking dish. Wash the quince, scrub thoroughly, and slice into thick rounds. Wash pears and halve them. Place halves cut-side down in the dish and add quince slices. Scrub lemon hot, grate zest, and halve it. Cut one half into wedges; squeeze juice from the other. Mix lemon juice with apple juice, cinnamon, cloves, liqueur, and lemon zest. Add lemon wedges to fruit and pour the liquid over. Sprinkle sugar on top, cover with foil, and bake for about 50 minutes.

    Rinse gooseberries and drain. Peel banana and slice thinly.

    Remove fruit from oven and switch to grill mode. Remove foil and add bananas and gooseberries. Mix all fruit with the baking liquid and grill for another ~10 minutes until browned.

    Serve the fruit salad hot with whipped cream or ice cream.
