Quark Zwetschgen Dumplings

- 500 g low‑fat quark
- 2 Eggs
- 400 g flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 16 plum fruit
- 16 pieces cube sugar
- 20 g butter
- 8 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 100 g butter
- 1 packet vanilla sugar

Drain the quark well and place it in a bowl. Mix in the eggs and flour until the dough is relatively firm. Divide the dough into 16 portions and flatten each piece slightly. Wash, pat dry, and pit the plums without cutting them in half. Place a cube of sugar in the center of each portion and fold together.

Place the plums on the dough pieces and shape dumplings. Bring plenty of salted water to a boil and let the dumplings simmer for 15 minutes over low heat. When they float, remove with a slotted spoon and drain well.

Melt 20 g butter in a pan and brown the breadcrumbs in it. Melt the remaining butter. Distribute the dumplings on plates, sprinkle with breadcrumbs, drizzle with melted butter, and dust with vanilla sugar.
