Quark Dip with Toasted Bread Strips

Ingredients
- 1 red bell pepper
- 2 bunches chives
- 1 bunch parsley
- 500 g cream cheese quark
- 125 ml milk
- salt, freshly ground pepper
- 12 slices wheat bread
- 100 g butter
- a pinch of rose and sweet paprika powder
- 4 tbsp plant oil
- 2 tbsp nut or sesame oil

Halve the bell pepper, remove seeds, wash, and dice finely. Rinse chives and parsley, shake dry. Slice chives into fine ribbons. Finely chop parsley. Whisk quark and milk until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Fold half of the pepper cubes and half of the chive ribbons into one portion of quark. Stir remaining herbs into the rest of the quark. Transfer to airtight bowls and refrigerate.

Cut wheat or toast bread lengthwise into four strips each. Melt butter and toast half of the strips in it until golden brown, seasoning with rose and sweet paprika powder. Toast remaining strips by heating them in 2 tbsp plant oil and 1 tbsp nut or sesame oil for 2 portions each. Cool on a wire rack and package in parchment bags. Serve the quark dip alongside the toasted bread strips.
