Ingredients

  • 8 slices white bread (ca. 200 g)
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 4 Spring Onions
  • 400 g low‑fat quark (10%)
  • 100 g natural yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 tbsp chives rolls
  • Tabasco
  • Salt
  • pepper (from grinder)

Instructions

    Toast the bread slices until golden brown.

    Wash the tomatoes, quarter them, remove seeds and dice into small cubes. Wash the spring onions, trim, and slice into thin rings. Whisk the quark with yogurt and lemon juice until smooth, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Tabasco to taste. Set aside some diced tomatoes and onion rings for garnish; fold the remaining tomatoes into the quark mixture, stir in chives (also set aside for garnish), and spoon into small bowls. Sprinkle the remaining tomatoes, chives, and spring onions on top and serve with the toasted bread slices.
