Perfect for the Advent bakery: The Pretzel Cookies from Spoonsparrow are just right.

Ingredients

  • 250 g flour
  • 190 g butter
  • 70 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 EL milk
  • sugar
  • fat (for greasing the baking sheet)

Instructions

    Knead flour, softened butter, sugar, egg and vanilla sugar quickly into a dough. Roll the dough to about 4 mm thickness, cut out pretzel shapes, grease the baking sheet and place the pretzels on it.

    Whisk egg yolk and milk and brush the pretzels with this mixture. Bake at 200°C until golden yellow. Sprinkle with sugar while still warm.
