Preparing meat broth is easier than you think! With the recipe from Spoonsparrow you can simply make the delicious broth yourself.
Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 1 clove of mace
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 carrots
- 0.5 stalk leeks
- 0.5 knob celery root
- 600 g soup meat (e.g., beef brisket, shoulder, or shank)
- 500 g soup bones (e.g., beef bones)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp peppercorns

Pierce the onion with mace and bay leaf. Wash, trim, and roughly chop the soup vegetables. Place the meat, bones, and vegetables in a large pot and cover with enough cold water to submerge everything. Bring to a boil, season with salt and peppercorns, then simmer over medium heat for about 2 hours. Skim off the initial foam that rises. Strain the broth through a sieve and use as desired according to your recipe.
