Ingredients
- 700 g potatoes
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly ground)
- 100 g heavy cream
- 8 tbsp butter
- 0.5 bunch sage leaves
- sage for garnish

Peel, wash, and cut the potatoes into small pieces; simmer in salted water covered for about 25 minutes until tender.

Finely chop the sage. Melt 6 tablespoons of butter, add the sage, and lightly sauté for a few minutes off the heat.

Drain the potatoes and let them steam dry slightly. Add the remaining butter and cream, then mash with a potato masher into smooth puree. Season with salt and pepper. Plate on a dish and drizzle the sage butter over it.

Sprinkle with fresh sage leaves before serving. Pair with bratwurst for a complete meal.
