Potato pea puree from Spoonsparrow: It is prepared in no time and the perfect side dish for hearty meals!

Ingredients

  • 300 g starchy potatoes
  • Salad salt
  • 300 g fresh peas
  • 1 bundle mint
  • 150 ml lukewarm milk (3.5% fat)
  • 40 g soft butter
  • pepper (ground)

Instructions

    Peel, wash and boil the potatoes in salted water for 25–30 minutes. Rinse the peas, wash them and add to the potatoes 15 minutes before the end of cooking. Rinse the mint, shake dry, pluck the leaves and finely chop two‑thirds of them.

    Drain the potatoes with the peas, let them steam off, press through a potato masher and mix with milk and butter into a smooth puree. Fold in the chopped mint and season the potato‑pea puree with salt and pepper.

    Fill bowls with the potato‑pea puree, garnish with remaining mint leaves and serve.
