Ingredients

  • 750 g potatoes
  • 150 g raw ham
  • 1 onion
  • 1 EL Butter
  • fat (for the dish)
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g crème fraîche
  • 250 ml Whipping Cream
  • Salt
  • pepper (from the mill)
  • 120 g freshly grated Gouda

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°C with top and bottom heat.

    Peel, wash, and slice the potatoes into thin rounds. Cut the ham into small pieces.

    Peel and finely chop the onion. Sauté in hot butter in a pan until translucent, then remove from heat and let cool.

    Mix the ham with the onion and potatoes and spread in a greased casserole dish.

    Whisk together the eggs, crème fraîche, and cream; season with salt and pepper and fold in half of the cheese. Pour the mixture over the casserole, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, and bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes. Remove and serve immediately.
