Ingredients
- 700 g potatoes
- 300 g carrots
- butter (for greasing the dish)
- 200 g whipping cream
- 0.25 l milk
- 100 g Gouda cheese
- 1 tbsp butter
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 bunch Basil
Instructions

Wash, peel and thinly slice the potatoes. Peel and thinly slice the carrots. Layer both alternately in a greased baking dish like roof tiles.

Season each layer with salt and pepper. Mix cream and milk, season it, then sprinkle grated cheese over the top. Wash basil leaves, finely chop half of them and scatter over the dish as well.
