Pork Ribs with Barbecue Sauce

- 1 onion
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp plant oil
- 200 g ketchup
- 50 ml apple cider vinegar
- 75 g brown sugar
- 60 ml Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp chili powder
- Salt
- Pepper
- 2 kg spare ribs

Peel the onion and garlic. Finely chop both and sauté briefly in hot oil until translucent. Add ketchup, a splash of water, and vinegar. Stir in sugar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil. Simmer gently, half-covered, for about 15 minutes on low heat until the desired consistency is reached. Remove from heat and taste.

Rinse the ribs, pat dry, and brush with some sauce. Grill over low heat (sufficient distance from coals) for about 40 minutes, turning regularly and basting with barbecue sauce.

Slice the ribs into portions and serve the remaining sauce on the side.
