Poached Egg with Tomato Drink

Ingredients

  • 600 ml tomato juice
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Tabasco
  • celery salt
  • black pepper
  • vodka (optional)
  • cucumber sticks
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • anchovy fillet

Instructions

    Bring 1 l of water with vinegar to a boil in a pot. Crack each egg into a separate cup, slide it into the simmering vinegar water and let it poach for about 4 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon.

    Whisk tomato juice with lemon juice and ketchup, season with a few dashes of Tabasco and Worcestershire sauce as well as pepper and celery salt, stir well and taste. If desired, stir in some vodka.

    Serve the Bloody Mary with the poached eggs and anchovy fillets on cucumber sticks.
