Ingredients
- 20 g yeast (½ cube)
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 0.2 l lukewarm milk
- 400 g wheat flour
- a pinch of salt
- 1 egg
- 100 g sugar
- 75 g melted butter
- 2 kg plums
- powdered sugar

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Dissolve the yeast and 1 tbsp sugar in the milk and let it sit covered for 15 minutes. Mix half the flour, salt, egg, and 75 g sugar with the yeasted milk and melted butter. Gradually knead in the remaining flour. Cover the dough and let it rise for about 50 minutes.

Wash, halve, and pit the plums. Knead the dough again vigorously. Butter a baking sheet and roll out the dough onto it. Arrange the plums in a tiled pattern over the dough. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Sprinkle the finished cake with powdered sugar and serve warm with whipped cream.
