Plum Compote

The plum compote from Spoonsparrow simply delights everyone!
Ingredients
- 500 g plums
- 50 ml water
- 70 g cane sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 100 ml currant juice
Instructions

Wash the plums, pat them dry, slice them lengthwise and remove the pits. Heat the water, cane sugar and cinnamon stick in a pot and add the plums. Cover and simmer over medium heat for about 5 minutes until the plums are tender (they should not fall apart).

Remove the pot from the stove and pour in the currant juice. Skim off the plums and reduce the remaining liquid to about two‑thirds.

Distribute the plum compote into glasses and cover with the reduced liquid. Serve warm or cold.
