Plum Cake from Quark- Oil Dough

Ingredients
- 150 g quark
- 80 ml oil
- 100 ml milk
- 80 g sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 300 g flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 80 g Butter
- 80 g sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 80 ml milk
- 40 g chopped candied orange peel
- 40 g chopped candied lemon peel
- 100 g almond sticks
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1.5 kg plums
- honeyed sugar
Instructions

Whisk quark with oil, milk, sugar and salt in a bowl. Sift flour with baking powder over it. Mix everything into a smooth dough using the hand mixer’s kneading hooks. Chill for 30 minutes.

In a pot combine butter, sugar, honey, milk, lemon peel and orange peel; simmer gently while stirring for 8-10 minutes. Stir in almond sticks and flour.

Wash plums, halve them and pit them.

Roll out the dough on a greased baking sheet, top with plums and spread the almond mixture over them. Bake at 200°C (392°F) for about 40‑45 minutes.

Cut into pieces to serve and dust with honeyed sugar.
