Plum-Apple Cake

Ingredients
- 375 g flour
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 100 g sugar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 175 ml milk
- 125 g crème fraîche
- 75 g melted, cooled butter
- 750 g apples
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 500 g plums (or sloe plum)
- 4 Tbsp fine sugar
Instructions

Mix flour with dry yeast in a bowl. Add sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, milk, crème fraîche and butter, then knead with the hand mixer’s dough hooks into a smooth dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.

Quarter the apples, core them, peel, and slice thinly. Drizzle with lemon juice. Rinse the plums or sloe plum, remove stems, pits, and halve them.

Briefly knead the dough on a floured surface and roll it out to fit a baking tray. Grease the pan well, place the dough inside, and push it up the edges with a floured hand.

Top with apples and plums or sloe plum. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (or gas: level 3-4, fan: 180°C) for about 30 minutes.
