Ingredients

  • 200 g sliced cheese (by the piece)
  • 1 small red bell pepper
  • 1 small yellow bell pepper
  • 2 leaves of sugarcane lettuce
  • 4 long wooden skewers
  • 1 cucumber salad
  • 1 red bell pepper segment
  • 1 radish piece
  • tomato paste (for the eyes)
  • 8 small carrot bundles
  • 8 chives
  • 8 mini mozzarella balls
  • tomato paste
  • 9 radishes
  • 8 thick chives
  • 8 small tomatoes
  • 0.25 bundle of chives
  • 1 slice of toast bread
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper (from the grinder)
  • mozzarella (for the dots and eyes)
  • mayonnaise (as a)

Instructions

  1. 1.

For the pepper boats cut the cheese into 8 equal pieces. Wash, clean, halve, deseed, remove all white membranes from the peppers and cut each half into 2 pieces. Place the pieces with the open side up on a plate and fill each with one cheese piece. Wash the lettuce leaves, spin dry and cut into wide strips. Split the wooden skewers in half, thread a leaf strip as a sail onto each skewer and fix the skewer as a mast in the cheese.

  2. 2.

For the snake wash the cucumber, rub dry, slice and place on a plate as a snake. Cut a wedge at the long end to form the snake head. Use a matching pepper piece as a tongue and insert it. Carve two eyes from a peeled radish and stick them in. Paint the pupils with tomato paste.

  3. 3.

For the snails peel the carrots, flatten one side. Using a small skewer, insert pieces of chive stems as antennae. As the house, pat 8 mozzarella balls dry, place them on the carrots with tomato paste and decorate spirally.

  4. 4.

For the radish mice wash, clean the radishes, leaving the root as the snout. Insert chive stems as tails into the other end of each radish using a wooden skewer. Carve small indentations for eyes, cut matching pieces from one radish for ears and insert them over the eyes in slits.

  5. 5.

For the beetles cut a lid off tomatoes. Cut the lid into 2 wing flaps. Set aside 16 chive antennae, slice remaining chives into ribbons. Hollow out the tomatoes. Toast bread, dice it and mix with tomato flesh, olive oil and chives, season and fill the tomatoes. Place the wings slightly spread on top. Insert the antennae into the filling. Cut mozzarella for eyes and dots and decorate the beetles (glue with mayonnaise).
