Pizza Buns
Crispy pizza buns from Spoonsparrow – quick to prepare, perfect as a snack or light lunch. Ready to serve in just 35 minutes!
Ingredients
- 6 small ciabatta rolls
- 6 slices of ham
- 200 g grated pizza cheese
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 3 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 tsp Oregano
- 1 tsp basil
- 200 g Cherry tomatoes
- 1 bundle basil (10 g)
- Salt
- pepper (ground)

Cut the rolls in half and toast them cut-side up in a preheated oven at 200°C (fan 180°C; gas: level 3) for about 5-7 minutes. In the meantime, mix tomato paste with 3 tbsp water, tomato puree, oregano and basil, season with salt and pepper. Remove the rolls from the oven and spread the tomato sauce over them, sprinkle with 2/3 of the grated cheese.

Tear the ham into pieces and distribute it over the rolls. Wash the tomatoes, slice them, arrange decoratively on top of the ham and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Return everything to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden yellow.

Wash the basil, shake off excess water and pluck the leaves. Arrange the pizza buns garnished with basil on a platter and serve.
