Pizza Bagels

The Pizza Bagels from Spoonsparrow are a hit with the whole family and ready in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 whole‑grain bagels
  • 2 stems basil
  • 0.5 green bell pepper
  • 0.5 yellow bell pepper
  • 0.5 red bell pepper
  • 100 g Crushed tomatoes
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 0.25 tsp dried oregano
  • 100 g pizza cheese (30% fat in the mix)

Instructions

    Halve the bagels horizontally and toast them. In the meantime preheat the oven to grill mode.

    Wash the basil and bell peppers. Pat the basil dry, pick off the leaves and roughly chop, setting aside a few for garnish. Toss the rest with tomatoes, salt, pepper and oregano. Clean the bell peppers, remove seeds and dice into small cubes.

    Place the bagels on a baking sheet. Spread the tomato mixture over them, sprinkle with cheese and bell‑pepper cubes, and bake under the hot grill for 5 minutes. Serve the Pizza Bagels topped with the remaining basil.
