Pistachio Meatballs

This variation of the classic favorite tastes wonderfully nutty: Try the pistachio meatballs from Spoonsparrow!
Ingredients
- 1 roll
- 1 onion
- 1 tbsp butter
- 30 g chopped pistachios
- 1 tsp thyme leaves
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 egg (medium)
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- Salt
- freshly ground pepper
- 2 tbsp oil for frying
Instructions

Soak the roll in water. Peel and finely dice the onion. Heat the butter and sauté the onion until translucent, then stir in pistachios and thyme.

Place the ground beef in a bowl. Squeeze out excess liquid from the roll and mix it with the egg, the onion‑pistachio mixture, mustard, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Shape the meat mixture into balls. Heat oil in a skillet and fry the pistachio meatballs for about 10 minutes on all sides until cooked through.
