Ingredients

  • 200 g kumquat
  • 50 g sugar
  • 100 ml water
  • 6 star anise
  • 2 tbsp coriander seeds
  • 1 tbsp fennel seeds
  • orange liqueur
  • 125 ml dark rum

Instructions

    Rinse kumquats thoroughly under hot water. Pat dry and pierce several times with a wooden stick or skewer.

    Bring sugar, water and spices to a boil in a pot. Add kumquats and simmer gently for 5 minutes. Let the liquid cool.

    Add orange liqueur and rum to the kumquats and stir. Pour everything into a bottle and seal.
