Pear Oat Crumble

We love crumble! How about the autumn pear oat crumble with a touch of Spoonsparrow?

Ingredients

  • 4 pears
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 0.5 lemon (juice)
  • butter (for the dish)
  • 150 g chopped macadamia nuts
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 100 g flour
  • 50 g Oats
  • 125 g butter
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon powder

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°C fan and top heat.

    Peel, quarter, core and dice the pears. Mix with sugar, vanilla sugar and lemon juice and spread in a greased baking dish.

    For the crumble mix nuts, sugar, flour, oats, butter and cinnamon between your hands until crumbly. Sprinkle over the pears and bake 25-30 minutes. Remove, cool slightly and serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
