Ingredients

  • 1 kg pears
  • 600 ml vodka
  • 600 ml pear brandy
  • 300 g sugar
  • 300 ml water
  • zest of one untreated organic orange
  • zest of one untreated lemon

Instructions

    Reduce sugar and water into a syrup.

    Wash the pears, quarter them, remove the core, and cut into small pieces. Place the pears with the orange and lemon zest in a mason jar. Pour vodka, pear brandy, and syrup over the mixture and seal tightly. Let the liqueur base sit in a warm place for about 2 weeks. After the maturation period, filter the base through a cotton cloth. Refill the cleaned mason jar with the liqueur and let it rest for another 3 weeks. Then filter through a coffee filter and pour into clean bottles.
