Pear-Kiwi Smoothie

A gently tart smoothie made from pears, kiwis and lime. One glass provides the daily vitamin C requirement.

Ingredients

  • 140 g ripe kiwi (2 ripe kiwis)
  • 200 g small ripe pears (2 small ripe pears)
  • 1 small lime
  • Also: ice cubes

Instructions

    Peel the kiwis and cut them into cubes.

  2. 2.

    Wash the pears, pat dry, quarter them, remove the seeds and cube them as well.

  3. 3.

    Rinse the lime, dry it, then peel the zest with a julienne peeler into thin strips (julienne).

    Squeeze the lime. Blend the kiwi and pears with ice cubes in a stand mixer (or with an immersion blender in a tall container) until smooth. Stir in lime juice, garnish with lime julienne, and enjoy immediately.
