Ingredients

  • 600 g ripe pears
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar

    Preheat the oven to 100°C fan.

    Wash the pears and slice them lengthwise into very thin slices or shave them. Place the pear slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush them with lemon juice. Dry in the preheated oven for 4-5 hours, occasionally turning the slices and leaving a small gap in the oven door; for example, insert a wooden spoon into the opening. In the last 5-10 minutes dust the pears lightly with powdered sugar and let them caramelise to a shiny finish. Let cool before serving.
