Ingredients
- 400 g penne
- 700 g tomatoes
- 2 onions
- 4 EL Olive oil
- 0.5 Bund Basil
- 1 Garlic clove
- Salt
- freshly ground pepper
- 1 pinch sugar

Parboil tomatoes for a few seconds, peel, quarter, seed and chop finely. Peel onions and garlic, finely mince. Wash basil, dry, shake off water and cut into thin strips.

Heat oil in a pot, sauté onions and garlic, then add tomato cubes. Add basil and season with salt and pepper. Simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes, adjust seasoning with salt, sugar, and pepper. Meanwhile cook pasta in plenty of salted water until al dente and drain.

Combine the tomato sauce with the pasta and serve immediately.
