Ingredients
- 500 g penne
- Sea salt
- 1 handful basil
- 3 cloves garlic
- 4 tbsp pine nuts
- 60 g freshly grated Parmesan
- Olive oil (ca. 100 ml)

Instructions

Cook the penne in plenty of boiling salted water until al dente.

Wash the basil, remove leaves from stems and pat dry. Peel and roughly chop the garlic.

Toast the pine nuts in a dry pan over medium heat until golden brown; let cool.

Blend the basil, garlic, toasted pine nuts, and parmesan in a blender or food processor, gradually adding olive oil until a smooth pesto forms. Season with salt to taste.

Drain the pasta, let it drain briefly, then transfer to a bowl. Pour the pesto over the pasta and garnish with fresh basil before serving.
