Ingredients
- 400 g penne
- 200 g thick-cut bacon
- 1 onion
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 1 red pepper
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 large can peeled tomatoes
- 5 tbsp red wine
- 4 tbsp grated Parmesan
- 4 sprigs basil

Dice the bacon finely and brown it in a pan without added fat. Peel and dice the onion and garlic. Wash the pepper, halve it lengthwise, remove seeds, and slice into thin strips. Heat oil in a pot, sauté onion, pepper strips, and garlic. Drain tomatoes and add them with salt and pepper. Pour in wine and let everything simmer covered over low heat for 15 minutes.

Cook the pasta according to package instructions, drain, and set aside. Toss the pasta with the sauce, sprinkle parmesan on top, and garnish with basil.
