Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp flour
- 400 ml heavy cream (at least 30% fat)
- 3 tbsp mixed chopped herbs (e.g., chervil, parsley, basil, chives, dill)
- Salt
- ground pepper
- 400 g tri-color farfalle (tris di farfalle)
- 150 g diced cooked ham

Melt the butter over low heat. Dust with flour, pour in the cream, and whisk vigorously with a wooden spoon to prevent lumps; simmer for 2 minutes on a gentle flame.

Add the herbs, salt, and pepper, and continue cooking for 1-2 more minutes.

Cook the farfalle in plenty of salted water until al dente. Drain and mix with a little butter and the ham cubes. Pour the herb cream over the pasta and serve immediately.
