Pasta with bratwurst and tomatoes is a recipe featuring fresh ingredients from the fruit-vegetable category.

Ingredients

  • 400 g macaroni
  • Salt
  • 8 tomatoes
  • 8 bratwursts
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 Tbsp freshly chopped thyme
  • chopped basil (for garnish)

Instructions

    Cook the macaroni in salted water until al dente.

    Heat the tomatoes, cool, peel, quarter, seed and dice them small.

    Cut the sausages into pieces. Peel and finely chop the garlic, then sauté with the sausage pieces in hot oil. Add the tomato cubes and simmer for 1-2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

    Stir in the thyme and drained pasta. Serve garnished with basil.
