Parsnip Fries

Spoonsparrow parsnip fries are the healthy alternative to classic French fries – crispy, mild in flavor and perfect for small connoisseurs.

Ingredients

  • 3 large parsnips
  • 6 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast

Instructions

    Clean and peel the parsnips, then cut into sticks about 2.5 cm thick.

    In a large bowl combine olive oil, spices and nutritional yeast. Add the parsnip sticks and mix well until evenly coated.

    Spread the parsnip sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and loosely cover with another parchment sheet.

  4. 4.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (fan 160 °C; gas: level 2–3) for about 20 minutes, until the exterior is lightly crisp and the interior soft.
