Ingredients

  • 450 g okra pods
  • 3 red bell peppers
  • 2 large white onions
  • 150 ml Vegetable broth
  • Salt
  • ground pepper
  • Cayenne pepper
  • 1 pinch sugar
  • Ground Cinnamon
  • olive oil
  • sugar

Instructions

    Wash and trim the okra pods.

    Wash the bell peppers, halve them, remove seeds, and slice the halves into thin strips.

    Peel the onions and cut them into fine rings.

    Heat 4 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan and sauté the okra with the onions. Add the bell pepper slices and continue to cook. Deglaze with vegetable broth and simmer covered for about 6-8 minutes, stirring gently occasionally. Remove from heat, season with salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, and sugar. Mix well and let rest covered for about 10 minutes. Taste and serve warm.
