Ingredients
- 12 Papadams lentil flour sheets from India (from the Asian shop)
- 8 pre-cooked anchovy fillets (or alternatively red bream fillets)
- olive oil
- 150 g flour
- 400 g peeled tomatoes (1 can)
- 1 small onion
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt
- pepper (ground)
- Cayenne pepper
- poppy seeds
Instructions

Wash the fish fillets, pat dry and season with salt and pepper. Heat 5 tbsp oil in a pan. Dredge the fillets in flour, tap off excess, and fry each side for about 1‑2 minutes until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper.

Peel and finely chop the onion. Peel and finely chop the garlic. In a pot heat 2 tbsp oil and sauté the onion and garlic. Add the tomatoes, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for another 6 minutes over low heat (do not cover). Season with salt, sugar and cayenne pepper.
