Oven-Baked Salmon Fillet
Oven-baked Salmon Fillet with Lemon & Basil: A fine fish dish made from fresh salmon fillet, rich in Omega-3 fatty acids. Quick to prepare!
Ingredients
- 8 stems Basil
- 3 tsp black peppercorns
- 800 g thin piece of salmon fillet (with skin)
- 1 tbsp Fleur de sel
- 1 Organic lemon
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp liquid honey
Instructions
-
1.
Wash basil, pat dry, pluck leaves and roughly chop half of them with a large knife.
-
2.
Roughly crush peppercorns in a mortar or coarsely grind in a grinder.
-
3.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Rinse the salmon fillet, pat dry and place it skin-side down on the baking sheet.
-
4.
Mix salt with crushed pepper and rub the salmon fillet with it. Sprinkle with chopped basil and bake in a preheated oven at 80 °C (convection: not recommended, gas: level 1) for about 40 minutes (may take a little longer for thicker fillets).
-
5.
Meanwhile, wash the lemon hot and dry it. Finely grate the zest, halve the lemon and squeeze out the juice.
-
6.
Mix lemon zest and juice with olive oil and honey in a small bowl.
-
7.
Remove the salmon fillet from the oven and place it on a plate or a large platter. Drizzle with sauce and let it sit for 8–10 minutes. Garnish with remaining basil and serve.
