Orange Cake (vegetarian)

Ingredients
- soft butter (for the pan)
- ground almond kernels (to dust the pan)
- 1 untreated orange
- 180 g soft butter
- 180 g sugar
- 3 eggs
- 100 g flour
- 80 g ground almond kernels (peeled)
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 100 g orange jam
- 20 ml orange liqueur

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) with upper and lower heat. Thoroughly grease the cake pan and dust it with almonds.

Wash the orange hot, dry rub it, and finely grate the zest. Squeeze out the juice. Beat the butter with sugar in a mixing bowl using an electric mixer until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, stirring well. Fold in the orange zest and juice. Mix flour with almonds and baking powder, add to the batter, and stir quickly. Pour the dough into the prepared pan, smooth the top, and bake on the middle rack for 35-40 minutes (test with a skewer).

Remove the finished cake from the pan and cool it on a wire rack. Mix orange jam with liqueur and heat while stirring until bubbling. Brush hot mixture over the cake with a brush. Let dry and cut into pieces before serving.
