Ingredients
- 100 g nuts (macadamia, peanuts and almond kernels)
- 250 g fine rolled oats
- 100 g coarse rolled oats
- 100 g coarse oat groats
- 200 g brown cane sugar
- 50 g beetroot syrup
- 325 g butter
- 100 g candied cherries

Preheat the oven to 160°C fan.

Coarsely chop the nuts. Mix with the rolled and groat oats and cane sugar in a bowl. Warm the beetroot syrup and butter slowly in a saucepan, stir well and fold in the cherries.

Spread evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to about 1.5 cm thickness.

Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven, carefully cut out circles (about 6 cm diameter) and cool on a wire rack.
