Ingredients

  • 500 g white asparagus
  • 500 g Green Asparagus
  • 1 tsp butter
  • Salt
  • a pinch of sugar
  • 200 g Cream cheese
  • 4 tbsp mixed chopped herbs (e.g., parsley, thyme, chives, sorrel)
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 400 g cherry tomatoes
  • 200 g Noord Hollander Premium Gouda (Creamy Mild)
  • 2 small peppers
  • 400 g pizza dough (refrigerated, ready to buy, = 1 pack)
  • 200 g smoked salmon or Parma ham (alternatively 100 g salmon and 100 g ham)

Instructions

    Clean the asparagus; leave the white asparagus whole, peel only the lower third of the green asparagus and cut into bite‑size pieces. Boil 1 liter water with butter, ½ tsp salt and sugar. Add the asparagus and cover for about 8 minutes (add the green asparagus after 5 minutes). Drain well.

    Mix cream cheese and herbs; season with salt and pepper. Wash and halve the tomatoes. Clean and wash the peppers, cut into very thin rings. Grate or finely dice the cheese. Roll out the pizza dough on a parchment‑lined baking sheet or divide into round portions and spread the herb cream cheese.

    Arrange asparagus, tomatoes (cut side up) and peppers over the cream cheese. Sprinkle with cheese and bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (gas: level 4, fan 180 °C) for about 25 minutes until golden brown. Slice the ham into thick strips, arrange on top of the pizza and serve.
