Natural Rice Porridge

Natural rice porridge with dried mango and cardamom: perfect for those who love sweetness and feel truly hungry in the morning.

Ingredients

  • 175 g whole grain rice
  • 40 g dried mango
  • 2 tbsp banana chips
  • 450 ml milk (1.5% fat) or water
  • 2 stalks lemon balm
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1 pinch Cardamom
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp coconut chips

Instructions

    Boil 475 ml water and add the rice. Bring to a boil again, then cover and simmer on low heat for 45 minutes until all the water is absorbed (can be prepared the day before).

    Cut the dried mango into small pieces.

    Coarsely chop the banana chips.

    Add milk to a pot, add the rice, and bring to a boil. Stir constantly over low heat for 5-6 minutes until creamy. Wash lemon balm, pat dry, and tear off the leaves.

    Stir the mango with maple syrup, cardamom, and cinnamon into the rice. Cook gently for another 3 minutes. Serve the porridge in bowls, sprinkle with banana and coconut chips, garnish with lemon balm, and serve.
